MSHA Part 46 and Part 48 New Miner Training - Virtual or In-person

CWE offers MSHA Part 46 and Part 48 New Miner Training either virtually or in-person.
Our New Miner course is designed to align with MSHA Part 46 and Part 48 annual refresher training requirements for surface or surface areas of underground mining operations.
- Part 46 covers surface mines that are active in the mining of sand, clay, gravel, limestone, cement, marble, and granite and those companies that service mining operations that mine those minerals.
- Part 48 means all mine types that don't fall into the above list, including all metal and coal mining operations as well as any mining operations that are underground
This course is required for employees who work under the jurisdiction of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). In addition to all coal, metal, and non-metal mining operations, companies and individuals who service the mining industry are also covered under this requirement.
The Mine Safety schedule shows MSHA classes that are both virtual and in person. Participants must be registered at least one week before the session begins. Cancellations or transfers will be accepted no less than three business days before the first date of the class.
