MSHA Instructor Train-the-Trainer
CWE offers MSHA Instructor Training
The MSHA Instructor Training Course is a required prerequisite for individuals seeking to become a Part 48 MSHA Approved Instructor and is recommended for Part 46 operations. Instructor approval is mandatory for operations governed by Title 30 CFR Part 48, including surface mines, surface areas of underground mines, and underground mines.
MSHA establishes the qualifications and approval requirements for Part 48 Instructors. Final review and approval are issued by the MSHA District Office where the applicant is employed.
Course Content
Participants will receive instruction in:
- Principles of Adult Instruction
- Developing Training Objectives and Criterion Test Items
- Organizing and Outlining Training Content
- Selecting Effective Instructional Methods
- Developing and Using Training Aids
- Lesson Plan Development
- Facilitation and Classroom Skills
