The 2012 State Bonding Bill was approved on May 11, 2012 and provides $13.3 million in remodeling and expansion of our Faribault Campus. SCC is proud to have Met Con, a local contractor, receive the bid for the construction. Work began in February 2013 on our remodeling and the groundbreaking for our expansion is scheduled for Friday, April 19, 2013 at 8:00 AM. Check this site for frequent updates on our construction progress.

Faribault Renovation News - January 8, 2014

By Friday of this week there will be a walkway created so people can get to the new Student Affairs and Administration area without having to walk directly through the construction.  The walkway will still only have 4 foot walls so that construction can continue around the walkway, so I ask that you still be alert (no texting and walking) through the walkway because the walkway could look different every time you walk through.

Welcome back to those of you that were gone over winter break.  As you may have noticed, many lockers are removed, new stair case is up (only the steel frame), pillars have stone that matches the North Mankato campus, and the Student Affairs and Administration area is almost done.   The new bookstore is under construction down the first floor.  Things are coming together quite well, if it would only warm up so more outside work could be done.

Student Affairs and Administration will more than likely be able to move in on January 29, 30 or 31st.  We will coordinate a more defined time in the next couple of weeks.  This means that the former carpentry shops will soon be vacant.

Thank you for your patience through this project
