South Central College is the smart choice for current high school students, students who have recently graduated from high school, and many adults interested in attaining a degree or those pursuing a lifetime of learning.
SCC offers General Education courses on both our North Mankato and Faribault campuses during the day, evening, and online. Students are strongly encouraged to develop an educational plan with their academic advisor to ensure that program requirements are fulfilled for their program option. Students often want to begin their education by starting their General Education coursework. SCC offers several options for completing General Education coursework. Options include the Associate in Arts Degree, the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, and general education transfer credit.

Student Electronic Portfolio (EFolio)

| In order to help students become better learners and document student success, Liberal Art and Sciences at South Central College has integrated the student portfolio process into its educational practices. Students are directed in their classes to create an electronic portfolio, place assignments in their portfolio, and reflect on their educational experience. The instructions provided by eFolio Minnesota take students through the process step by step. It is a user friendly process that will enhance student understanding of their educational progress, and will help the college document its educational goals. So begin today in establishing your electronic portfolio, it is simple and free. Go to the EFolio Minnesota website at http://efoliomn.com and begin the process by clicking on the “Before You Begin” link. Read through the information carefully and then begin the step-by-step process by signing up. There will be opportunities throughout the semester to meet and ask questions about establishing your portfolio. That schedule will be posted at a later date.
