The Carnegie Arts Center is hosting a South Central College Student Art Exhibition, which will kick-off with an opening reception Saturday, July 9 from 7 - 9 pm.
Paragraph 2 Option A: The exhibition features beginning and intermediate works by students from the college’s Arts and Communications programs, which include Graphic Communications, Multimedia Technology and the College’s new Fine Arts program.
The Associate of Fine Arts in Visual Arts degree was specifically created to provide students a pathway to transfer to Minnesota State University, Mankato. Through an agreement between the two institutions, students who receive their Associate of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from South Central College are able to smoothly transfer to Minnesota State Mankato to purse their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
This pathway option was created through an articulation agreement, a type of agreement that ensures students in more specialized programs are able to transfer smoothly from one school to the other.
Through an agreement with Minnesota State University, Mankato, students who receive their Associate of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from South Central College are able to smoothly transfer to the university to pursue their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Works of art by SCC students will be on exhibit at the Carnegie Art Center in Mankato from July 7 - 23, with an opening Reception on July 9 from 7 - 9 pm.
