When it comes to careers, there are a lot of choices out there. South Central College is committed to providing you with the information you need to choose a career that’s right for you!
For High School Students
If you’re a high school student, the best starting point is your school’s counseling office. High School counselors have an abundance of information on careers and higher education offerings.
For High School Counselors - Sign up for our Fall Career Exploration Days. If you have 11th and 12th grade students who would like to learn more about the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, culinary and healthcare, this is the event for them. Hands-on experiences and lunch will be provided free of charge and transportation costs can be reimbursed if needed.
Plan to attend December 1st and/or December 8th, both days are on the North Mankato Campus. Space is limited. You can sign up using our online form.

South Central College is also proud to partner with the South Central Perkin’s Consortium and area high schools to offer on campus career exploration opportunities for area high school students. In 2016, SCC established “Career Exploration Days” for high school juniors and seniors to explore the programs at SCC that prepare students for rewarding careers in a variety of areas. In 2017, South Central College and the South Central Perkin’s Consortium created the “Career Navigator” program to help students in their first year of high school start to explore today’s careers and learn about the academic preparation and technical skills needed to succeed. To date, “Explore SCC” and “Career Navigator” have impacted more than 1,500 high school students.
Career Focus and Career Videos made possible in part through funding from the South Central Perkins Consortium.
